What this interview is

A company has invited you to answer interview questions on video, in your own time. You open your link in a browser, on a laptop or a phone, and nothing needs to be installed. The company chose the questions. Intervue is the tool they use to run it.

02

What is recorded

  • Your video and voice while you answer.
  • What you say, turned into written text.
  • A score for each answer, worked out by AI against what the company is looking for, with short quotes from your own words.

Some interviews are conversational: the AI reacts briefly and may ask a follow-up question. The main questions are the same for every candidate.

03

What is watched

To help the company trust the result, the interview notes whether things like these happen:

  • You leave the interview tab or resize the window.
  • You look away from the screen for a while.
  • Your face is not visible, or another face appears.
  • A phone or laptop shows in the camera view.
  • Another voice is heard, or the person in front of the camera seems to change.
  • Your camera or microphone cuts out.

Face and gaze detection run in your browser. The company sees a summary and the moments flagged. A flag is not a verdict. A person looks at it, and you may simply have had a bad connection or a noisy room. Nobody is rejected automatically because of a flag.

04

The ID check, if the company uses it

Some companies also ask you to confirm who you are. You scan your ID and take a selfie on your phone. The face is compared with the ID photo, and the name on the ID is compared with the name the company invited. If they do not match, the company reviews it. You will not be told the reason, but you can ask the company. If the company has set a limit, you may get three tries.

05

Who sees it

The recruiters in the company that invited you can see your recording, transcript, scores and flags. Intervue and the technology providers named in our privacy policy process the data to run the service. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.

06

How long it is kept

The video is deleted after a period set by the company's plan: 14, 30 or 90 days. The written transcript, scores and report may stay on the company's record until they or we are asked to delete them.

07

If something goes wrong

  • Connection dropped or tab closed: reopen the same link. You can continue while time remains.
  • Camera or microphone blocked: allow it in your browser settings and reload the page.
  • Something outside your control happened: tell the company. They can send a new link or start a new attempt.

Good light in front of you, a quiet room, a charged device and a steady connection help the most.

08

Your rights
